Recently, CMA CGM implemented new adjustments to its transportation service fees, including a new Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) for the Asia-South Africa route and increased freight rates for the Asia-Northern Europe route.
The new PSS for the Asia-South Africa route will take effect from August 21. This charge applies to cargo from Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan to South Africa. The rate is $300 per TEU, applicable to dry containers, reefer containers, out-of-gauge (OOG) cargo, and breakbulk.
Additionally, CMA CGM announced freight rate adjustments for the Asia-Northern Europe route, with new rates effective from August 1 (based on the loading date at the port of origin). The new rates are $1,075 per 20 dry container and $1,950 per 40 dry container, high cube, or reefer container. The adjustment applies to all Asian ports to all Northern European ports (including the UK and from Portugal to Finland/Estonia).
