In the current globalized economic environment, Russia, as an important trading partner of our country, has seen a steady annual growth in the market for goods exported to the country. However, for businesses looking to export electronic and electrical productsCompulsory certification, it is necessary to understand some relevant access certifications and standards to ensure legal sales in the local market.
(1) Russia requires all imported products to bear the EAC mark, which is a unified circulation identifier. This mark consists of a combination of the three letters E, A, and C, and can be a square with black text on a white background or white text on a black background. The size of the mark is determined by the manufacturer, authorized party, or importer, but the minimum size must be at least 5mm.
(2) The Eurasian Economic Union Technical Regulations are the mandatory certification standards for electronic and electrical products in the Russian market. These regulations are drafted by relevant agencies of the Eurasian Economic Union member states, and 47 technical regulations have been issued to date. For electronic and electrical products, they mainly cover aspects such as electromagnetic compatibility, safety, and environmental protection.
(3) The Eurasian Economic Union Safety Product Certification (EAC COC) is a mandatory certification for electronic and electrical products in the Russian market. This certification covers products including household electrical appliances and equipment with AC voltages from 50V to 1000V and DC voltages from 75V to 1500V, processing equipment, beauty and hairdressing equipment, audio and video equipment, power supplies, chargers, voltage stabilizers, etc. For products outside this voltage range, mandatory DOC certification is required.
(4) If a product is connected to a fixed network or wireless network (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc.), it is necessary to apply for Radio Frequency (RF) Approval (FAC) certification from the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications, and Mass Media of the Russian Federation.
In summary, if a company wants to export electronic and electrical products to Russia, it must understand and comply with the relevant access certifications and standards. This not only ensures the legal sale of products in the local market but also lays a solid foundation for the companys success in the Russian market.
